crashing kubuntu...

Well not really.

While the word is that Linux is a stable OS and I haven't seen anything to counter this. People don't talk about how stable linux apps are. Which they aren't.
Well that is a little harsh. I'm frustrated with how updating your software is not necessarily upgrading your software. Programs that worked reasonably well now no long function or crash enough to seem like it after the update. Of course this has to be taken with a grain of salt. This happens with all apps on some level. But I've running into more and more problems with my linux apps. I guess you have to approach linux apps with the mindset of everything is alpha or beta. An update just means you are downloading the latest buggy version, not an improvement to the existing software.

Also looking for a different distro for linux, any suggestions?

How do you come back...

After months of periodic forays back into the mega-wilderness of bit and bytes and being severely side tracked by RSS'ed video goodness pouring into every cranial orafice, I try and return to familiar web waters. So my question is how do you make the transition back into 'this' world.

I find myself outside looking in. A feeling of regret and remorse flood over me. And for a moment I feel like Ol' Ebaneezer being shown what he has done with his life. I feel as I have wronged those I left. A proper explanation is needed, and forgiveness must be asked for. To some I maybe a voice from mere moments ago, but for others, years have past and with it many unsaid things.

So if you, the reader, know me please allow me to apologize properly and send me a way to contact you.
