Well not really.
While the word is that Linux is a stable OS and I haven't seen anything to counter this. People don't talk about how stable linux apps are. Which they aren't.

Well that is a little harsh. I'm frustrated with how updating your software is not necessarily upgrading your software. Programs that worked reasonably well now no long function or crash enough to seem like it after the update. Of course this has to be taken with a grain of salt. This happens with all apps on some level. But I've running into more and more problems with my linux apps. I guess you have to approach linux apps with the mindset of everything is alpha or beta. An update just means you are downloading the latest buggy version, not an improvement to the existing software.
