I love Japan...

A few weeks ago, while waiting to catch my ride to the airport, I was approached by one of the many Japanese tourists that frequent my town. A middle aged man, dressed ready for a day in the sun walks up to me and asks if he can take a picture of me.

At first I was confused but I said okay. I assumed he would want me to take a picture of him or his group, but he was alone and was stepping back to get me in to frame. After taking the shot he commented on sumo wrestling, he was a big fan, and if I knew the sport. I said sure we have it on TV here. He then asks me if I know of a wrestler named Konishiki. I tell him yeah, he's pretty famous here, being a local boy and all. He then says "You remind me of him, you have the same body structure." I just responded by nodding my head and saying cool. He then caught the bus and that was it. I sat there thinking that is pretty cool, a sumo fan thought I was like one of the best modern day wrestlers. If the comment came from anyone but a Japanese tourist I would suspect what they meant by the comment. Check the link out for info on Konishiki.
